My prose and insight offerings within this blog will be from my perspective and in no way represents the official views of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or any of it's official organizations.
I put my heart and soul into anything I write. Having a PhD in Journalism / Professional Writing I'm well aware of the concept of 'conservation of words' as well as crafting something for the intended audience in a way in which they will read it.
Originally I thought this Blog could be a home for my more detailed writings on LDS topics from which official works would be published through the local ward hierarchy. While those synopsis will be on the local church Facebook they will also be here - both as the shortened & conservation version and as a 'full' version to more adequately flesh out my thoughts.
Our 13th Article of Faith states "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good too all men; indeed we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul - We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. IF THERE IS ANYTHING VIRTUOUS, LOVELY, OR OF GOOD REPORT OR PRAISEWORTHY WE SEEK AFTER THOSE THINGS".
The Prophet Joseph Smith wrote these through inspiration by the Holy Spirit as detailed on Page 60 - 61 of the Pearl of Great Price in our scriptures and further detailed in 'History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535-541 in my set of physical scriptures printed in 1981
The electronic version of the entire Articles of Faith can be accessed by this link:

Article of Faith 13 hearkens to Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things:" This is the first reference for Article of Faith 13 in the physical scriptures,''
Try as I might I don't see this reference on the digital version of the scriptures. Nevertheless there is no disputing that AOF 13 is comparable to Philippians 4:8.
So my intent with this blog not only correlates with AOF 13, Philippians 4:8, but also allows me the freedom as an author to share my deep insights to their full conclusion about topics related to my LDS faith. I see correlations where others may miss them. The real purpose of published written works is to teach and edify.
Of course my prose will be from my perspective and in no way represents the official views of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or any of it's official organizations.
Anyone is welcome to read these posts. I hope you will find them edifying whether LDS or just live with a deep yearning for spiritual nourishment.
